Porcelain Dolls

     Porcelain dollmaking has long been a specialty and luxury art.  Dolls range in sophistication from simple very "doll" like dolls to life-like representations!  Much like ceramic work porcelain objects are made from the pouring of slip into a pre-made mold.  Porcelain, unlike regular ceramics, can be considered more on the "high end" of the scale however and is in some cases more delicate than it's cousin.  Porcelain, while traditionally used in dinnerware is also used in dolls, figurines, and even toilets...
