My Sacred Creation Process
Everyone has their own process and way of doing things. I've come to my way through a process of trial and error, and years of development. I thought I would detail some of my process for you below...
As a Witch the state of my physical space is important to me. In fact, when I do work with people via my other business Danaus Divine the state of their physical space is one of the first things I ask about. But also ever being practical, clearing my space always starts first with physically tidying up before anything else. Once the physical space is cleared I move onto the energetic level. My flavor of choice is usually a bell (or my singing bowl), white sage, followed up with a bit of Frankincense.
With my space cleared it's then time to make sure I'm physically, mentally, & emotionally ready to create. Taking care of the physical first of course (remember the basics). Then it's time to don the uniform (including creative talismans to support the work). A little white sage for myself, a short mudra meditation, & Reiki to get myself in the right mindset. The last steps are setting up the space, gathering tools & materials (there's nothing worse than having to search for stuff in the middle of making!) More cleansing, this time of the tools and materials, & stating my intention for the creative session. I make an offering to the spirits of creation, say a little prayer, and then it's time to do the work!
And as I began so I must end, I always make sure to thank the energies that have supported my work, extinguishing any remaining incense & candle. As everything was done up, so it must be undone. I close the process with another ring of my bell or singing bowl and that's that!
And for when I finish with a project, a few extra steps: clearing, blessing, & charging with special Reiki & other symbols, toning for whatever chakra energy it relates to, a mantra meditation, and a 21x recitation of a prayer.
