Stained Glass
Stained glass itself describes the supplies used in stained glass work as well as what the pieces themselves are often referred to as. Stained glass may come in a variety of forms including: suncatchers, lamps, boxes, lanterns, corners (for door jambs), as additions to figurines, and even in the form of larger architectural pieces like windows & fireplace screens. A dictionary definition defines stained glass thusly:" 'Glass colored by mixing pigments inherently in the glass, by fusing colored metallic oxides onto the glass, or by painting and baking transparent colors on the glass surface.' "
