I found this book at a library when I lived in Maryland briefly and fell in love with it!  As a crochet junkie anything crochet I automatically love but the sheer inventiveness and usefulness of this book makes it a gem for my crafting library!  And it certainly doesn't hurt that the cover features this awe inspiring crochet mural...
This book is far from your average pattern book as it really doesn't have any patterns.  It has techniques illustrated in samples and finished works to show you some of the diversity you can really get with this art.  It covers elements of crochet, with a bit of knitting, embroidery, and weaving thrown in to help you make truly unique fiber art.

While most crochet patterns, techniques, and books stem from what I call a craft minded place this one definitely takes it to a whole new artistic level.  While much of what you can make is still very useful, the very nature is beyond a utilitarian sweater or scarf.

For the serious crocheter who is an artist at heart this book in a must own!  5 out of 5 stars!
