March Product/Service Review: Why I Love Bloglovin'

Way back in the day when I started my blog, I didn't real blogs.  I wasn't for or against them I just really didn't care.

What I've found is the reality is that I just hadn't come across anything particularly compelling or useful.
In reality I LOVE to read, about as much as I love to create.  And if I could do both at the same time I really would.  Though my reading tastes vary widely depending on the medium.  I follow a lot of crafting blogs.  1) for free patterns, 2) tips & tricks, 3) and just general inspiration.  Sometimes I see a color combination I hadn't thought of I'd like to try, or I'm show a new technique I could use in my work.

When I'm reading books you'll find my tastes much more narrow.  I love fantasy, and for a peek into my mind - Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite authors.  But I'll blame that on my love of tall, dark, & lethal as I call it (the handsome goes without saying of course but I think that's a rather subjective statement as to its definition).  I also love Piers Anthony, and the late Anne McCaffrey.

When I'm reading blogs I want to learn something - now, so you'll see me checking out people like Marie Forleo, Laura Roeder, Jenny Shih, and Laura C. George or one of their colleagues.  Optimizing my business, serving you - my lovelies - better, and taking things to the next level are very important to me.

The best thing yet however has got to be my use of Bloglovin' which has absolutely revolutionized how I follow blogs, how much I actually read, and my propensity to interact.  I've been using it less than a month and had previously used Google Reader because I'm a bit of a Google fan as well and I enjoy their little toys & widgets.  When I heard from Mrs. Monologues they were closing down, I was a bit heartbroken.  Even though I didn't use the service much I did house my "blogs I'd like to read" there.  She suggested Bloglovin' to all those who were following her as a way to keep in touch and it was love at first blog post for me.

So that's my unofficial, under the table, endorsement!  As you know I only rave about things I truly do enjoy.  My favorite thing is that it emails me a feed, which is by far hands down my favorite thing about it.  One of the top reasons I rarely visited 75% of the blogs I followed was that I just didn't feel like visiting the webpage that often.  Now it's no problem!

So share with me in the comments below...Did you use Google Reader?  Are you a blogger (post your blog link and I'll check it out!)?  Do you use Bloglovin'?  Do you have other blog following tools you use?  And if you're not make sure you're following me on Bloglovin' - join the newsletter for my super secret squirrel updates, and connect with me on social media for that real time goodness! <3
