And I will find myself sassy & delightful ~ Phoebe from "Charmed"
I'm always discovering new things to incorporate into my art, but as much as I do that I also am always collecting for future projects.

There's nothing like bringing a bit of vintage into the mix for a marriage of new & old.  It's even better when I can draw off inspiration of my favorite genres, like the comical Queen of Hearts...
I've always had a love for Alice in Wonderland.  The story is truly whimsical with its menagerie of oddball characters and dream-like quality.  I especially love the hilarious woodblock prints of Alice (she looks a bit like she's ready to kick someone's ass at this tea party below).

This necklace came about from the imagery of the Queen of Hearts I had while looking through my button collection inherited from my grandmother.  They all have a similar sheen to them which makes for a cohesive design but they vary in both size and texture to offer dimension to the piece.

I'd like to think of this as a real statement piece too, while I'm personally no fashionista as an artist I appreciate the addition of accents to both make an outfit pop and bring it altogether at the same time.  The buttons give it a fun and flirty feel, while still have an air of classic elegance.

I definitely see more button necklaces in the future, but I certainly will be keeping each as its own personal work of art with a unique theme.

If you love this necklace as much as I do you can buy it in my store ~ Queen of Hearts ~ Vintage Button Necklace or check out my other jewelry in my Adorning Beauty collection.

In the comments below I'd love to hear from you!  Do you have any button jewelry?  Are you a button-lover like me?  Inherited any fun things from family members that have special meaning to you that you like to use in your work?  While you're at it make sure you join my newsletter for exclusive offers & drop by my social media networks and add me so you can hear about more things like this!
