First off...Happy Birthday to me (on Friday)...
So yes, it's my birthday Friday which means if you're on my newsletter you got a special little gift from me. If you're not there now. Well, you've got a little bit of time left because I don't send my newsletter out till 10:00 am EST Friday...
I don't normally do stuff like that, and nope, I'm not going to tell you what it is, so you'd better get your happy keester over there.
While I'm not much for birthdays, my approaching of 30 is somewhat ominous. I can't believe I've been alive this long for one, and then there is the fact that my Saturn Return is about half through. Ready for it to be over by the way...
And just in case there wasn't enough excitement with Mercury turning Direct Monday, the numerological shift of the Universal Year & Month Numbers into 7 (bring on the spiritual exploration & self-development). Pluto is in opposition to the Sun. This means illumination of secrets and just bringing deep things to light. Kind of the perfect energy for a super spiritual month right?

So what's on the needles...?
Sadly, just this. I swear it's been years that I've been working on it. No really it has. But given that it's a gift, I feel more than a little obligated to finish it "soon". Although from the looks of it, I'm about there! Originally it was mean to be a pair of socks, but I got mad at the DPNs and gave up and opted for a pretty lacy scarf.
Note to you knitters out there...sock yarn with nylon in it may not be the best choice for something that is lace and therefore needs to be blocked. Still, it's interesting and I do think the colors are rather growing on me.
