WUW?: Painfully Inspiring

Sea Star Necklace by Aradia's Hand
Pain and upset can be great inspiration and catalyst for art.  You see this many times in writing and painting...but what about other art forms?
Such inspiration is not restricted to verbal or two dimensional artists.  As recently I had a run in with this concept in my own work.
Pretty excited...this weekend my Muse came to hang out with me all Sunday...actually the story is I found some information out that was less than desirable and bothered me more than it should have so I did a littler exercise, "STOP, I don't want to feel this.  I want this to feel <insert core desired feeling here> (which in my case was love & connection)." Then I asked myself what I could do to feel that feeling and the answer I got was "create something beautiful".  And so I did!  Three statement necklaces later I felt great and had made a gift for a friend and created two lovely Celtic inspired pieces that I can put up in my shop! <3

How was everyone's weekend?

While I can't say the experience was altogether wonderful, the result is utterly stunning and so for that I am thankful.

In the comments below share with me...

  • Has a negative emotion inspired you to create something before?
  • How did you feel afterwards?
