Woo hoo for changes and shifts!

And a day late Merry New Moon to you too!
Shifting energy is always cause for celebration!  It helps you get out of any ruts you may have felt stuck in and opens the doors (& windows) for new things!

Since the change happened yesterday, today is a good day to settle into the energy a bit and think about what you want to get down to business for this next solar jaunt and maximize the power of the New Moon which will only be on Aquarius a little bit longer.

On a personal note...

The Little Miss has grown big enough that I can feel her kicking.  She seems to favor 9 in the morning and about 7 at night for most of her tumble fests.  We still haven't decided on names...my inner numerologist is fussing about that.  I want something "just right" (as we all do for our kidlets) and it's proving to be a more momentous task thank I recall from naming my first born.

In the studio...

There's nothing but spinning going on...lots and lots of it.  My finish-itis is trying to creep in again but I'm determined to see my "grand plans" of killing the queue this year.  I started a lot later and had lots of interruptions in 2014, so I'm going at it with gusto this year.

In the back of my mind I'm also thinking up of things to do to deplete my stash and still offer goodies to you.  It's down from 5 shelves to 2, but realistically there's still more stash hiding, it's just not worsted.  Fred the Alpaca & I got a little crazy and I double checked all my stash to separate out all the non worsted I've acquired.  Since it's not suitable to just substitute into worsted projects I've got to get creative and expand my makings to accommodate (a worthwhile challenge!)

What's New...

I love cables, and I was happy to finish both of these so I could finally present them to you.  The original (left) is made to order and you can get it in any color you'd like (see the listing for color options).  Satyr (right) is one a kind and won't be repeated, so grab it while you can!

  • Anything fun going on in your world, you're excited about?

Love the way you knit your words together. A fresh burst of creative energy! Reading about your "Little Miss" pulled at my heart strings... having two of them of my own. Reading this post also reminded me that my little one asked to learn how to knit, maybe I'll try hand knitting with her :)

Nathalie, thank you so much for taking the time to read & comment! It's such a joy to be complimented on my writing! My "Little Miss" is on my mind a lot lately with all her rolling about. :D

Finger knitting might be a good route to go, and I know arm knitting is very popular. Also there is loom knitting - that doesn't require you to know anything about gauge, and very little about tension (which you'll learn as you go!). There are a variety of looms that are inexpensive (we know how easy it is for kids to break things) in various shapes, and many you can make yourself with some simple investments & tools.

I would also look into weaving. Little lap looms are an easy way to go. And of course crochet is an option, though you may decide that takes a bit more patience & time!

I wish you well introducing your wee bit to the wonderful world of fiber and be on the lookout for other posts about fiber art I've got up! I post tutorials (photo & video) and do specials about art forms as well! <3
