Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality. ~ Shawn Ashmore

Often reflection can lead you in many places.  While some are helpful, others are less so.  It's always important to use your reflection as a tool rather than a permanent state of mind you never use.  One has to do as much as think to move forward!

Harnessing Passion & Indulging in Pleasure

Venus enters Aries (4/5, 12:50 pm EDT).  Venus, planet of affection & possessions (notice a trend here?), will be hanging out in Aries for the next while.  Aries is impetuous energy and this can lead to large, loud, and maybe even rash declarations & actions.  Take care with your spending now as you might feel pulled to splurge.  But if you see something on sale you're digging, now might be the time to jump on it!

Mercury enters Taurus (4/5, 7:09 pm EDT).  With beauty & comfort, thanks Taurus, on your mind it may have you thinking about how you can manifest a bit more of it in your life.  Focusing on what makes you feel good, in a physical sense, and why can help you cultivate more things that bring a more peaceful vibe to your life!  And think, how can you collaborate with others to make your surroundings more cozy?

Reflection & Revision

As the month shifts into April the Universal Year energy of 9 is coupled with a new Universal Month energy, this time 4.  As you've experienced this year, 9 makes you reflective & thoughtful as well as motivating you to get things moving and tie up loose ends.  4 the number of the planner (& procrastinator) can bring you back to the drawing board to reflect on what you've done so far & what you might want to do in the future.  Use this time wisely to think about and practically plan, but don't get caught in the hamster wheel trying to achieve perfection!

Digging into the Real Work

I was finally able to get in some gardening and I hit up the flower beds first.  Much weeding, many worms, and lots of dividing (of daffodils) I've got six rows planted and I'm eager to see a bright and flourishing flower bed.  Instead of just marigolds & nasturtium this year I got ballsy and threw in some bachelor's buttons, gladiolus, and transplanted some daffodils.  Hopefully everything will bloom!

Merrily I Roll Along

I've been plugging about on my KAL slowly but surely...but between the resurgence into needlepoint and it I've been oscillating back & forth a lot.  I haven't posted many updates about the needlepoint, but IG will be the place to see it!  Progress feels slow...but that's how that is when you do labor intensive art...even so I love it! <3  I've also finally decided on a project for some yarn I was at first thrilled to try...but upon use decided I didn't much care for it.  It will make for a nice Beekeeper's Quilt for a baby girl!

Hopeful Expectations

The plugging away of the shop re-structuring continues!  I'm nearing the midpoint, and like so many things it seems to take so much longer than I want it to.  (This in fact caused me to educate myself on the planning fallacy which may explain my complete misjudgment of time needed to complete large projects.)  After this comes a mass of writing, which I've already started mapping out.  I'm both excited & dreading all this work but it will be utterly magnificent to have everything done!

As I'm collecting things for the re-do I'm also noting bits for the huge seasonal curation for the Spring.  While I try to not let things slip through the cracks it does happen and then later needs to be rectified.  The simple fact is that sometimes things just don't work out.  Especially when it comes to doing experiments with new tools, materials, & techniques.  But that's part of the art...trying, and then trying again.  Ah the troubleshooting *whistful sigh*.

In the comments below, share with me...
  • Are you the type to dive in with both feet (Venus in Aries style)?
  • Where might you bring more beauty & peace into your space right now?
  • What will you be reflecting on & planning for April?
